March of Dimes-Walk for Babies Beaufort April 17, 2010


The money raised by this walk supports programs in our community and throughout South Carolina that helps moms have healthy full-term pregnancies. This year the Beaufort Co. Health Dept. walkers are partnering with PASOs Beaufort walkers and community businesses. Community businesses have donated gifts to PASOs Beaufort in support of the Walk for Babies Beaufort.

M.C.Riley Health Fair. February 27, 2010
Pasos Beaufort Coordinator, Yajaira Benet- Smith participated in the M.C. Riley Elementary Health Fair in Bluffton, South Carolina. Over 300 families attended. Yajaira discussed pregnancy and the importance of prenatal care. She provided folic acid vitamins to women of reproductive age to help prevent birth defects. She also provided fliers and literature containing information about health and wellness for reproductive- aged women, which was also translated in Spanish.
